Hello everybody,
Welcome to the March-May 2017 issue and the 11th Year of The Eye Malawi.
Given the ON-GOING power problems, still pulled it off, a few days late, but not bad, thanks team!
The lead this issue is from a known contributor Dr Alison Leslie & Charli de Vos from Majete Wildlife Research Program who together with African Parks delivers a study on the Plains Zebra in Majete. Due to diligent conservation efforts they have been able to translocate some of these Zebra (among other animals) to other less fortunate parks. Big up guys!
Max Del Buffalo, of Jambo Africa and Nyala lodge brings us an article of pioneering stature on a solar water project happening in Lower Shire. Brilliant effort.
We have a write up from Bat Lady Emma Stone on Bat conservation & Susan Waldron brings us the lovelylisicious intestinal worms, one of those things, TIA and we squeezed yet another armylisicious wormy art` in as well.
Lieza Swennen of the LSPCA brings us their new campaign based on the 5 animal freedoms. Their dedication & passion must be noted, help where you can people. We also have an update from Yolande Kruger (Be Bold Consulting) and their efforts raising awareness for elephant conservation. Huge hugs, kisses & thanks to all!!!
Massive thanks to all advertisers, without whom this publication would not be possible.
It’s that time for….. Drum roll… I`m combining Easter and April fool’s Day this year, I’m sending the kids out to look for eggs I haven’t hidden & We celebrate Jesus brutally dying on the cross by getting a giant bunny rabbit to hide chocolate eggs...I can’t help but feel there is a massive gap in information somewhere!
Happy Easter holidays all. Stay safe.
